Quartz glass is
obtained by the rapid cooling of hot natural quartz. This material is
characterized by high chemical resistance, which allows it to be used for the
manufacture of laboratory glassware, insulators, and test tubes, measuring
tubes.
How do they get
multi-colored quartz glass for various products?

Colored Quartz Glass |
Different
elements are added to the molten glass, that, depending on the composition,
gives the desired color. Also, additives can affect the technical
characteristics, improve the strength or transparency of the material.
To obtain a
yellow or green color, chromium oxides or its ions are introduced into the composition
of the silica glass mass. By adding silver to the blank, you can get a bright
orange color. Cobalt (Co) gives quartz products a blue color. Emerald green or
bottle-colored glass melt is obtained by the addition of iron elements. Also,
copper will give blue quartz glass. Blood-red will be obtained by adding gold
ions.

"Crystal" Pyramid Made of Quartz Glass |
The addition of
boron ions will give high strength to the glass made from quartz. This type of
quartz glass products is used in laboratories and in industrial workshops.
The unique properties
of creating a "sound", reflect the rays of the sun and have perfect
transparency, different crystal. Such characteristics are given to this type of
quartz glass by ions of lead and barium.
