The glass
masters father and son Leopold and Rudolf Blaschka from 1863 to 1936 created
for the museums of the whole world several thousand (!) stunningly realistic
models of plants and animals, including the famous glass flower series in the
Harvard Museum of Natural History.

They modestly
called themselves "artisans in the service of natural history." But
their work is rightly considered "an artistic miracle in the field of
science and a scientific miracle in the field of art."
One of the
specialized products of the glass industry are Klinger glass. It was developed
at the end of the XIX century and is in demand up to the present. The main
purpose of the product is to provide control of the fluid level. That is why it
is often called water-indicating glass.

Klinger's glass
is named after the German engineer (Richard Klinger). It was he who invented
the corrugated water-indicating glass and founded the company for its
production. Klinger's invention was based on such a phenomenon as the total
internal reflection of light in the corrugated glass. This principle is used to
create modern liquid level indicators.
One of the
advantages of the products developed by Klinger is the high degree of user
security. Glass products are made in such a way that if damaged, the fragments
remain inside and do not fall outside. In addition, water-indicating devices
are reliably sealed.
